resh, sweet peaches are in full swing right now, so grab some at the market to utilize in this summer recipe: Easy Peach Galette. This simple, impressive dessert starts with a store-bought pie crust. Add a little sugar, cinnamon and butter and bake until lightly browned. Slice it into wedges and serve with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream for maximum enjoyment.
INGREDIENTS
Easy Peach Galette:
1 store bought refrigerated pie crust
2 large peaches, peeled and slices into thin wedges
1 Tbsp cold butter, cut into small pieces
2 Tbsp granulated white sugar
½ tsp ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. with the rack in the lowest position.
Place the piecrust on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Leaving a 2-inch border, top with the peach slices in a decorative fashion. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sugar mixed with cinnamon and the cut-up butter. Fold the edges of the dough toward the center, overlapping slightly and partially covering the fruit. Brush the edges of the dough with water and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar.
