This tasty twist on the tequila classic calls for red wine, adding a dash of color and earthiness to the mix. Quick tip: Skip the salted rim as it clashes with the wine’s acidity. Plus, it looks too much like a halo.
INGREDIENTS IN THE DEVIL’S MARGARITA COCKTAIL
Units
1 1⁄2 oz
Blanco tequila
1 oz
Fresh lime juice
3⁄4 oz
Simple syrup
1⁄2 oz
Red wine
HOW TO MAKE THE DEVIL’S MARGARITA COCKTAIL
In a pint glass, add the tequila, lime juice and syrup with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a cocktail glass.
Float the red wine over the glass.
